Santa Claus is coming to town! That’s right, the Big Guy himself invited Publio CEO Keith Reynolds to the North Pole to pitch a content marketing concept at Santa’s North Pole headquarters. It’s a fabulous opportunity, and we want to get it right.
Our team gathered for a quick review of Santa’s market and competition along with his strengths and opportunities. After all, Santa has been in business for a few thousand years, so he’s doing something right. Even still, the world has changed in that time, as has marketing technology.
Content Marketing Opportunities for Santa Claus
How can a good customer relationship management package keep track of all the kids and ensure Santa’s customers remain engaged throughout the year?
Social media is a great way to stay connected with your audience. Targeted campaigns on Tik Tok and Instagram will work well for children, but maybe Santa should also leverage Facebook to stay in touch with their parents and grandparents.
Will our account with Hannukah Harry present a conflict of interest? We don’t think so, but we must be transparent with Santa – as we are with all of our clients.
How does Santa’s earned content play into his content marketing strategy? Frankly, it makes our job easier. Third-party books, movies, and plays are universally positive. There are licensing opportunities too!
Can we update the lump of coal concept? I believe we came up with one really good idea. It will bring Santa’s negative reinforcement strategy into the 21st century. He’s gonna love it.
